A treasure hunt across the Acropolis Hill, one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world. Walk through the Propylaea, stand before the Parthenon, visit the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike, and take in panoramic views of Athens from the summit. Along the way, stop at the Great Panathenaea for traditional Athenian food and refreshments.

Mission

Athena and Poseidon are battling for the right to become the city’s patron. Each god must offer a divine gift, and the citizens must choose. Solve mythology riddles as you climb the Acropolis, collect clues about each god’s offering, and present the gifts in the correct order to crown the winner.

  1. Acropolis Ticket Office, Odeon of Herodes Atticus

    15 min

    Meet at the Acropolis ticket office and begin your ascent. Pass the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the ancient Roman theatre still used for performances today.

  2. Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike

    20 min

    Walk through the monumental Propylaea gateway and visit the elegant Temple of Athena Nike perched on the bastion.

  3. The Parthenon

    20 min

    Explore the Parthenon from both its west and east ends. Discover its mythical battle scenes, the Old Museum, and the Temple of Rome and Augustus.

  4. Great Panathenaea, Erechtheion, Caryatids

    20 min

    Stop at the Great Panathenaea for traditional Athenian food and refreshments. Then visit the Erechtheion with its famous Caryatid porch and the Sacred Olive Tree.

  5. Coronation Ceremony

    15 min

    Present the gods’ gifts in the correct order. The winning team is crowned and everyone receives their gifts.
