Leave Athens for a half-day trip along the coast. First, stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, a hidden natural lake with warm mineral waters, underwater tunnels, and the famous ‘Doctor Fish’ that nibble your feet. Then continue to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, sitting high on a cliff above the Aegean Sea. Explore ancient ruins, walk through fortifications, and enjoy a souvlaki lunch at a seaside restaurant with stunning views of the Aegean.
Your mission
King Aegeus is looking for his son Theseus, who went to Crete to fight the Minotaur. A ship has returned with black sails, but did Theseus change them in time? Help King Aegeus ask Poseidon for guidance among the ancient ruins. Read inscriptions on old marble stones, explore the Bastion, and put together one of the saddest stories in Greek mythology. Keep your eyes open, the sea itself might give you some answers.
